The problem
This spa’s site had 117 indexable URLs, and a chunk of them were stuck. Some were true exclusions, 404s and redirects that had never been sorted out. Others were simply crawled and left out of the index, with no diagnosis behind them.
What I did
- Verified every URL’s index status individually rather than trusting the sitemap alone
- Separated genuine exclusions, 404s and redirects, from pages that were just stuck
- Submitted and tracked the remaining URLs until 113 of 117 flipped to indexed
- Left 9 pages pending at handover, reported honestly rather than hidden
- Delivered the same per-URL reporting used on every job, for a client outside the usual English-language markets
On the record
- 113 of 117 indexable URLs indexed (97%)
- 9 URLs pending, tracked to resolution rather than left unreported
- 404 and redirect exclusions identified and separated from stuck pages
